Weingut Gold
2021
Pink Pet
Muscat Trollinger
Württemberg, Germany

Weingut Gold is in Gundelsbach at the heart of the Remstal, a 78km river valley in Baden-Württemberg. Leon Gold made his first vintage in 2013, officially founding his winery two years later. The area is quiet and untouched with steep slopes, peaceful meadows and deep forest to the north. Nature is all around – an idyllic setting for the creation of pure, unadulterated wines. Leon farms 18 hectares of vines ranging from 35 to 45 years old, working with various self-made composts in the place of pesticides. The slopes are made up of different types of sandstone; from the youngest layer at the surface to the oldest deep below, the range of geological periods take shape.

Pink Pet 2021 is 100% Muscat Trollinger, a unique wine with a specially commissioned label from Berlin artist Jeremy Jaspers. Whole grapes are macerated cold for ten days, and further matured in steel tanks. The fermentation starts spontaneously on the mash, and is completed in the bottle. Fruit, flowers, and delicate bubbles make this a great aperitif wine.
