Alanna La Gamba: a Canadian with Italian roots. Moving to Europe (more specifically, to Berlin) gave Alanna the chance to immerse herself in the world of wine and it was here that she met Martin Wörner at Wine Rush. Keen to see more of Germany, Alanna signed herself up for harvest 2018 at Martin’s winery in Flonheim and, in her words, never really left! She moved there permanently a year later, having fallen in love with the countryside, the wines, and Martin himself. In keeping with her independent nature and contagious optimism, it wasn’t long before Alanna wanted to make her own wines.
Frauenpower Rosé 2022 is the 4th vintage of the Frauenpower line, and the 2nd vintage of rosé. Dornfelder and Riesling are direct pressed while Siegerrebe, Johaniter and Müller-Thurgau are macerated for 1-2 weeks. The combined juice finishes fermentation and ages in 6000 litre old beer barrels made of oak. Bottled with just 9 grams of sugar, it has rough rather than fine bubbles, lending it an extra punch of freshness. Chill it right down and drink with the first rays of summer sun.
